Lobo

I am not a music fanatic but certain artists with incredible passion really move me. Willie and Lobo and their Nuevo Flamenco music have been this for me for many years. We last saw this duo at the Aladdin Theater in Portland back in 2011. Somehow I missed that Willie has since passed away ... until yesterday when walking past a bar here by the Rio Cuales in Puerto Vallarta. I recognized Lobo's sound and Carlos, sitting on my favorite bench, explained that Lobo was playing in the bar and that Willie had died almost two years ago. So sad. Esau, now playing with Lobo, is amazing!!! But I will miss directly experiencing Willie's wonderful passion and his playing of the violin with total abandon.
